Every small step I make, using oils on the model makes the camouflage/painting more soft and tied together. It helps the weathering bond better with the model.

Academy Panther G Filter and Dry brush
I applied a filter using raw umber and black diluted with white spirit. For faster drying I used a hairdryer. But it’s important that all thinner is gone before the dry brushing. Therefore the I’ll always leave the model to dry for a couple of days before I go on. Or else the result will be a mess.

Takom Jagdpanther G1 Tracks and small steps
I use resin tracks from wwII production. Hard to get and can be expensive but it’s worth it. The tracks will have some rust before the dirt and mud. I also applied some more streaks.

Takom Jagdpanther G1 Rust and streaks done
The first step in the weathering process is done. Next will be mud and dirt.
I finished the rust and streak step with some dry brushing on edges, using mostly Raw Umber. Important to use a dry brush with no thinner what so ever.
