Takom Jagdpanther G1 Interior weathering step 2

All the weathering is just a learning process. When I’m finished you won’t be able to see that much of the interior. Almost little sad.
On the left rear of the tank you can see some experiment.... the tank is going to be burned out.

Takom Jagdpanther G1 interior weathering step 1

Another small but important step in the weathering process.
Dry brushing. I like to use enamels or oils. Easier to control than acrylics.
I also chipped and weathered the cannon.

Takom Jagdpanther G1 interior WIP

Small step...
I applied a filter/wash over the whole interior. I like my own mix with oil paints and white spirit.
60/40 mix Raw Umber and Black. I like the shine, the dirty and worn look that comes with it.

Academy Panther G Late 1/35

I’m really impressed with this kit. I didn’t know what to expect but I must say that this was really a fun build. Nice fit and not much to clean. I decided to build a April 45 prdoduced Panther by M.A.N.
I also dit it 100% out of the box just to show all the details. Academy forgot to put the gas detector panels on the turret roof and I also think that they shouldn’t have made solid guide horns but this is easy to fix.
A part from that I really liked this build. Easy assembly, nice fit, low part count and good details.
My opinion is that it’s much better than Tamiy Panther G. Almost in the same class as Dragon but Academy chooses some different solutions on the details that makes Dragon better if you want to use aftermarket details. Now when RFM and Takom also provides the market with excellent Panther kits the Academy doesn’t get all the way in details but for you who want an easy, fast build this is highly recommended.
